Maranta leuconeura kerchoveana

Maranta leuconeura kerchoveana is a "Prayer Plant" with foliage characterized by bold, unique reddish-brown pattering with a green backdrop.  As the leaves "harden" or mature, the burgundy turns to a dark green, and the leaves themselves become a darker green, almost sage color.  This plant is one of the easiest to care for plants in the prayer plant family!  It is low-light tolerant and loves regular waterings.  To keep this plant happy, keep the soil moderately moist and in a northern facing window.
