Epipremnum pinnatum aureum 'NJoy', Pothos 'NJoy'
Epipremnum pinnatum ‘NJoy’ is a easy-care hearty plant with unique foliage. The leaves have variegation that closely resembles the Manjula pothos variety. This cultivar has several variations, earning it the common name of “NJoy.” This cultivar originated from the Marble Queen pothos. The plant is also known as Epipremnum aureum ‘ N-Joy, even though “aureum” means “yellow” and the variegation is predominately white in color or cream. The leaves variegation are a dramatic mixture of various shades of light to deep green, with shades of white to cream and sometimes pale yellow. The leaves are generally smaller than most other pothos, however, when staked the leaves will grow larger. In order to keep the variegation, this plant must be placed in medium to bright indirect light, however avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this will burn the leaves. Low light will cause the variegation to fade. With maturity, the leaves of certain cultivars of this plant have been known to “thicken.” All this means is that the leaves become more like the thickness and texture of a pothos plant. This plant comes in a 4-inch pot.
